A compressor dehumidifier uses a fan to draw in air, and then passes it across extremely cold coils. The Water condenses on the coils and drips into the water tank. Finally, the air is reheated and pumped back into the room as warmer, drier air.
A compressor dehumidifier is better suited for warmer room temperatures and will be less effective if the room temperature is below 5°C.
